Synchronous thermal analyzer
Simultaneous thermal analysis combines TG with DTA or differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to obtain thermogravimetric and differential thermal information simultaneously from the same sample in the same measurement.
Compared to TG and/or DSC tests alone, there are the following significant advantages:
1, through one measurement, you can obtain two kinds of information about mass change and thermal effect, which is not only convenient and time-saving, but also very advantageous for occasions where samples are expensive or difficult to obtain because only less samples are needed.
2, eliminate the weight, sample uniformity, heating rate consistency, atmosphere pressure and flow difference and other factors, TG and DTA/DSC curve better correspondence.
3, according to whether a thermal effect corresponds to the mass change, it helps to distinguish the physicochemical process corresponding to the thermal effect (such as distinguishing the melting peak, crystallization peak, phase transition peak and decomposition peak, oxidation peak, etc.).
4, real-time tracking of sample mass with temperature/time changes, in the calculation of enthalpy can be the current actual mass of the sample (rather than the original mass before measurement) as the basis, conducive to the accurate calculation of phase change heat, reaction heat, etc.
